When Seconds Matter
In stroke treatment, the sooner the better. That is the most important piece of advice if you suspect stroke. Within the first few hours, the most damage from a stroke is done. In the case of stroke, seconds literally matter. Seek medical treatment as soon as you suspect you may be having a stroke. Better safe than sorry.
Diagnosis of stroke will be determined by a cat scan or MRI. Treatment will be decided based on the type of stroke the patient is having.
